telegram No.140 27th May, repeated to Tokyo telegram No.56,

Kerr telegram No.90, Commander in Chief telegram No.4.

Your telegram No. 95.

Position of boat when attacked was indicated without

collusion on 19th May in the presence of naval, harbour

office and police officers by several members of junk crew

who had witnessed the incident and all of whom agreed

within half mile. Position is near Conspiracy Islands.

As to treatment of the captives only evidence is that of

the survivor and medical report on his grave injuries. / I regret error in previous telegram; for 21

degrees etc. please read 22 degrees, etc.
